Lake Avenue Church School was originally established in 1971 as a parent-participation nursery school, later becoming a year-round preschool, kindergarten and day care center. Due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the school closed in the Spring of 2020. 

The preschool was relaunched in Fall of 2021 with a new name, vision and passion for early childhood education. Imago Dei Preschool provides a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment that promotes educational, social, and spiritual growth through play.
